What a beautiful, powerful, inspiring quote this is. Thanks Rajesh for sharing this with me at the right time, just when I thought of giving up on this project. To many it may seem like something I do to kill time, but to me it is everything but that.
Somethings that you do may look trivial and stupid to the world. As long as you know WHY you started doing this, nothing else matters. You need to just keep moving ahead. What you want will eventually come to you.
I also want to share a favorite quote of mine here which I believe in with all my heart and soul. “When you really want something to happen, the whole world conspires to help you achieve it.” from the book 'The Alchemist' and this is why I love Paulo Cohelo. His books are at times depressing since it is difficult for us to accept the truth in them. But I love his books all the same... you can judge me as you want. It will not change who I am and what I want in life :)

Fear Less. |
Subash was the star of his school and the heartthrob of girls his age.
Every school and inter-school competitions were complete only after Subash had sung
or played his guitar, and won accolades followed by prizes. His only wish in
life was to become part of a prominent music band someday.
Once in his senior year at school, a famous radio station hosted a
competition among teen-musical troops. He trusted that this was his chance to
be part of a band, make hits, get recruited by a famous band, became rich and
famous. Together with his friends, they formed a band and went ahead to
compete. Since all in the band were musically trained, they knew for sure that
the trophy was theirs for sure. However,
as our story wants it, the band fails miserably in the contest. Though the team
had excellent individual members, their talents failed when put together. It
just did not gel. Or maybe it was lack of sufficient practice or may be due to
over-confidence. Subash faced his first failure ever and found it very
difficult to comprehend.
His fear of losing his dream got bigger each day. The next few events
did not see Subash as the winner. Furthermore, the fear of losing forced him
into a cocoon. Until the end of his school days, he refrained himself from
taking part in any contests, but kept his music alive by entertaining friends
and family. His love for music never diminished. While he was a freshman in college,
there was an audition for the college band. The memory of the failure back in
his school days made him sulk and not audition for it. But secretly he longed
to be part of the team.
On the morning of the last day of the audition, Subash came across its pamphlet
with lots of random notes, pictures of instruments, date and time of audition
and a catchy phrase that read “Got the desire to succeed? Feeling the Fear? Let
us join and can conquer them both, if YOU want to”. This helped his realize that
his “need” and “desire” to succeed was multi fold than his fear of failure from
the past. And as you and I already expect out of this story, he became part of the
band, grew as its success grew, he was later represented by top musical
companies and he did become rich and famous as he always desired.

has so much to offer... |
Sarvam kept running all through the night from his remote
village towards an unknown destination. He hitchhiked, walked, slept on the
roadside and continued going farther away from his home.
On that fateful day, petty thief Sarvam decided to loot big and chill
out before he had to steal again. While he was speculating thus, his neighbor told
him that they had borrowed a huge sum for their son’s critical medical
treatment. The same night, he stole the money and stayed put acting unawares of
the incident. With no money to treat their son on time, his neighbor lost his
only son.
Sarvam did not expect the loss of a life because of him. He walked
around the village trying to believe that he was not the reason for the child’s
death, but the incident broke Sarvam’s conscience into thousand pieces. And
then, he started to run.
After days of travelling, he reached the ashram of the divine Ramana
Maharshi in Tiruvanamalai in Tamil Nadu, India. Initially, he sat near the ashram
without speaking with anyone, and had food given to him by visitors. Gradually,
he opened up his ears to the disclosures about Ramanar and his outlook of life
changed. Sarvam wanted to contribute to the society while he could and in a way
he wanted to.
Through the people in the ashram
he sought people who were in dire medical need but were not financially capable,
spoke to them and took to collecting funds for their treatment. He did this
without any expectations until his death. He lived his life ‘Sarvam’
Ramanaarpanam (I offer everything to you, dear Ramana). After his death, Sarvam’s life story was often
narrated to the disciples to explain that the past is to prove that no one is
perfect and the future is to prove that everyone can change.
